To be frank, preparing and recording songs all in one session for a more 'cohesive' album is pretty tedious. So I decided to do something more like what I did on albums like The Bottom and Punishing the Faithful, using scraps of unfinished songs and finishing them each with their own appropriate mix and project file in my DAW. I do think it makes for a more interesting experience for the listener, with more surprises. A few of the songs were meant to be used for the Menards project, but I decided fake bands are too restrictive, and there's little point in doing split tape releases when I have a closet full of unsold tapes. Super Famicom should be for all sounds and all creative whims. I know it's hard to market with no definitive sound, but I'm not about marketing. I'm the artist here, and I've always been.
Parts of this album were written and recorded as far back as 2014, in my Saint Augustine storage unit. I also got more of my friends to contribute vocals and guest guitar solos, expanding the reach of this collection, which I do think you will find very interesting and satisfying. If you like this album, I have another few hours of rock music sitting at 70% completion for the next release. If you'd like to make a guest appearance, just let me know. Thank you so much for playing your part in this endless solo quest of mine.
